Along with various others, I am forced to keep our motorcycles in storage facilities. I pay almost $1,500 a year to discharge that. Those who would ban bikes tell me to impress a trailer, on the contrary they don't authorize me what to do with the trailer when I town for two weeks on my bike. I seriously suspect that Harris Teeter (or anyone else) would let me leave it in their parking lot.


S.C. Decree of Regulations, Chop 56-5-5020, states: "Every motor vehicle shall at all times be equipped with a muffler in skilled working order and in constant transaction to prevent exorbitant or abnormal noise. The motorcycles you hear are usually ones that keep no mufflers, hence would appear to be clearly illegal. I have no idea why the police don't enforce the law.


To try to flotation a ban on motorcycles because of excessive clang seems to fanfare an unwillingness to enforce the law. All we want is that property owners be allowed to guide their motorcycles between their homes and the nearest gate. Period.
